Taylor/Gedrych/Wood is a fusion trio made up of some of the stalwart members of the London jazz scene. The three musicians boast an impressive roster of projects and collaborators including Emma-Jean Thackray, Neue Grafik, Oscar Jerome, Alfa Mist, Energy Exchange Ensemble, Allysha Joy, margomool, Vels Trio and New Movement Ensemble amongst many others.
In this iteration, the trio are bringing to the Global Collection Festival a performance influenced by jazz fusion and progressive rock greats such as John McLaughlin, Wayne Krantz, Joe Zawinul, King Crimson and Yes. The performance will include interpretations of some classic compositions by the aforementioned artists as well as the trio’s own original music. The group’s fiery and dynamic performance brings a modern twist to the canon of jazz fusion and progressive rock, demonstrating the trio’s unique style and approach.
